Peugeot has begun a huge push into the EV market with their latest release scheduled for 2019. The French car manufacturer has revealed that the next 508 and 3008 GT Hybrid 4 will both be available for sale in Europe from Q2 in 2019.

The Peugeot Design Ethos

The Peugeot 3008 2018 models have been a great success here in Australian. This is largely because they represent a true alternative to the usual SUV models that we see from Asian car manufacturers. A European car or SUV definitely has a styling and design ethos that is quite different for those of us living in Australia. Of course Derwin James Hoodie , this does come at a slight premium, but more people are falling in love with the idea of owning and driving a European vehicle. This is great news for Peugeot as they have put a lot of time and effort into establishing themselves here in Australia.

The Development of Drivetrain Power Options

Peugeot insiders have stated on several occasions that they would like the customer to have more control over the drivetrain that they want. These new releases have two drivetrain options to choose from; there is an EV regenerative motor with an e-Save mode that can reserve power or range for later on. The Hybrid and Hybrid4 variants will both take around seven hours to recharge using a 3.3kW 8A charging unit. If a 3.3kW 14A charging socket is used, the charging time could be reduced to less than four hours in total. If you go for an optional 6.6kW 32A wall mounted charging station the full recharge time drops to a staggering 105 minutes in total.
